Your trust and confidence is important to us. Narratiive (“we” “us” “our”) conducts business under the principles disclosed in this Privacy and Personal Information Policy (“policy”). If you do not agree with anything in this policy, you may not complete any survey and must immediately opt out of any services we offer. You may not participate in our survey(s) or access any of our services if you are younger than 18 years old; or do not have legal capacity to conclude legally binding contracts. Narratiive Acts as an Agent for our Customers

Narratiive acts as an Agent for each of its customers, in that it provides its services primarily for the benefit of the customer. Each of our customers uses Narratiive to understand more about the visitors to its websites; in this way, our customers can provide online advertisers with third party independent statistics that help demonstrate their site audience. This information may include search engine referral, affiliate referrals, traffic driven by banner ads or other online promotions, how visitors navigate around the site, the most popular websites or sections. We also collect certain technical information, such as information relating to a browser version and operating system. We aggregate all of the usage information from our customer’s websites into a benchmarking solution that demonstrates their metrics to advertisers and other interested parties. We do, however, reserve a limited right to disclose any information we collect if required by law or valid order of a court or other governmental authority. We also reserve the right to disclose any information to third parties. However, such disclosures will take place with discretion that is commensurate to the sensitivity of that information. We generally collect anonymous usage information from websites which are registered on our system. These websites participate in Narratiive by placing a small piece of tracking code on each of their webpages.

Our Customers’ Use of Narratiive

We ask each of our customers to abide by all applicable laws, rules and regulations, as we promise our customers that we will do ourselves. We try to ensure our customers are fully compliant with all applicable laws by concluding a Processing Agreement with them. We also recommend that each customer obtain all necessary consents from visitors to its web site(s), post an online privacy policy that provides each visitor with notice of its information collection and use practices (including the customer’s use of Narratiive), and provide a link to the Narratiive privacy policy.

Use of Cookies and Other Information Collection Methods

In providing Narratiive’s services to its customers, it is Narratiive’s policy to use cookies for more accurate traffic analysis. The combination of information stored in cookies does not include personal information such as name, age, phone number, e-mail address or mailing address. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies. If you would prefer, you can set your browser to reject cookies. Narratiive customers use JavaScript tracking code provided by Narratiive to track information about their web site visitors’ activity. This code contacts Narratiive’s servers and receives a response. From time to time we may also administer random interactive pop-up surveys to some users of our customers Web sites while they are visiting those web sites. These surveys collect additional information. Your participation in a survey is always voluntary, and you therefore have a choice as to whether or not to provide the requested survey information. We use the information collected in the survey, in conjunction with information gathered through our cookies and code, in order to provide our customers with an even more detailed understanding of their Internet audience. In some limited circumstances, some voluntarily provided personal information may be captured; for example, when an, email address, name, surname, age, gender profile or telephone number is incorporated into a survey, or when the respondent has opted into possible follow up research. This information may be shared with overseas entities or customers who in turn have agreed to adhere to this policy. Narratiive will in some occasions make available to third parties such as research and or marketing companies anonymised cookie information.

We do not have any control over these other web sites, and therefore we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting those sites. We protect your information in the manner specified in this policy. Generally, we use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption to protect personal information and we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files. We authorise access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities. Our hosting companies will host our website and related measurement services in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced security measures to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. As a visitor to any of our customers’ sites, you can deactivate our customers’ abilities to analyse your web browsing behaviour, which will universally deactivate this ability on all customer sites (including the Narratiive web sites) currently using our services. To opt out of receiving tracking cookies for all sites using Narratiive, you will need to accept a cookie indicating your choice to do so. Alternatively, browser extensions to suppress most measurement and ad tracking will will usually opt you out of Narratiive and this method is recommended for those who delete their cookies but wish to remain opted out from our data collection services. We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt-out as described above, we will not be able to remove your personal information from the databases of our affiliates with which we have already shared it.

Privacy Policy For Narratiive And Customer Website(s)

In this policy we provide detailed information on when and why we collect personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others, and how we keep it secure. We use Google Analytics to help us analyse how visitors use our own companies website. Among other things, Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about the number of visitors to the site, the webpage that referred visitors to the site, and the pages that visitors view within the site. Furthermore, in a completely automated process, computers process information and personal information and potentially profile-match it to adverts or related information. We may share personal information with advertisers, unless you specifically prohibit us from doing so by contacting us directly. Advertisers receive a record of the total number of impressions and clicks for each advert. If you click on a link, we may send a referring URL to an advertiser identifying that a customer is visiting from a website. Once you are on the advertiser’s website however, the advertiser is able to collect your personal information.

Narratiive collects anonymous, aggregate statistics. For example, we do not tie a specific visit to a specific IP address. You can browse customer web site(s) without giving us any personal information. We use our own surveys and customers to analyse traffic in order to understand our customers’ and visitors’ needs and to continually improve our site for them. Disclosure of Personal Information

In some instances we rely on our channel partners to fulfil product trials and information requests, and provide customers and prospective customers with information about Narratiive and its solutions. To do this, we may pass your information to them for that purpose and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. We sometimes hire vendor companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering items, sending postal mail, providing technical support, and processing event registrations. In addition, we may use third party information or technology in our products and disclose customer information to such third parties solely for the purposes of fulfilment, support, or audit by such third parties. We may also license/transfer or sell-off our technology to third parties, and in connection with such transitions, we may disclose customer information to the transferee. For Narratiive Customers: Any customer using Narratiive’s services outside the Republic of South Africa must ensure they comply with the Processing Agreement concluded separately.

If we undergo a change in ownership, or a merger with, acquisition by, or sale of assets to, another entity, we may assign our rights to the personal information we process to a successor, purchaser, or separate entity.
