Since launching in October 2015, the emPower data co-operative has been growing rapidly. We onboard new publishers every week, and the quality of data we provide to advertisers has earned us a reputation as the best local audience data pool in the MENA region.
From 1 January 2017, websites that are tagged with the Narratiive tracking code and do not have a current contract with Narratiive will be automatically opted-in to the emPower data co-operative. If you do have a current contract in place, the updated terms and policies do not affect you.
Do these updates impact me?
If your website is tagged with the Narratiive tracking code, but you do not have a current contract with us, these updates affect you directly. Your website will be opted-in to emPower.
If your website is tagged with the Narratiive tracking code, but you do have a current contract with us, these updates do not affect you and you will stay opted-in or opted-out to emPower as per your agreement with Narratiive.
If you’re a South African publisher, these updates do not impact you either.
What is emPower?
emPower is a data co-operative that helps publishers monetise their data. It works by collecting valuable but anonymous data from participating websites using cookies and pop-up demographic surveys to website visitors. Since launching over a year ago, over 540 websites have joined emPower and begun earning revenue.

How does this affect my website?
As part of emPower, we may launch basic demographic and market research surveys to your website visitors periodically. No personally identifiable information is collected. Besides this, there will not be other changes to your website.
When will the change take effect?
If you continue to use our services on or after 1 January 2017, you’re agreeing to the updated terms and policies.
What if I don’t want to be part of emPower?
Contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you do not wish to be a part of emPower.
